About Lifesring Lactation & Doula Services...

Lifespring Lactation & Doula Services is dedicated helping mothers reach their personal breastfeeding and childbirth goals through support, encouragement, education, assessments, interventions, information, resources and referrals, enabling mothers to be empowered in their own experiences of birth and breastfeeding.

My name is Brandi Nations. I am a mother of three and a Certified Lactation Counselor, Advanced Lactation Consultant, and Birth and Postpartum Doula. I am currently entering my senior year at Union Institute & University in the Bachelor of Science Program majoring in Maternal Child Health: Lactation Consulting. I became passionate about helping moms reach their birth and breastfeeding goals after my own experiences.  Feeling so fearful and unsure of my body's ability to birth and feed my own first child, and struggling with and finally giving up on breastfeeding him, lit a fire within me to help all mothers to have the childbirth and breastfeeding expereince they deserve and desire. With the help of some amazing lactation professionals, I successfully breastfed both may daughters and experienced an amazing natural birth along my journey to where I am today--devoting my life to supporting mothers and babies.  I have experience and training in complicated breastfeeding issues such as lip and tongue tie, thrush, mastitis, oversupply, overactive letdown, skin to skin, painful, sore nipples, nursing through pregnancy, breastfeeding and returning to work/school, re-lactation or induced lactation, poor weight gain, supplemenation, starting solids, and other breastfeeding concerns.  If I can help one mother not to have to go through what I went through with my son, then it is all worth it. ♥

**NO mother is ever denied services for her inability to pay the fees. My number one goal is to ensure that mothers are given the chance to make informed decisions about their care during labor and delivery and the postpartum period and that moms and babies meet their breastfeeding goals. If the fee is a problem, please let me know so we can discuss payment options. Clients can also submit a copy of their invoice to their insurance provider to be reimbursed for fees paid, although some carriers will not reimburse for my services. My first priority is to ensure that moms, no matter what their financial situation, are able to receive the help of a doula and the best, evidence-based, most loving and supportive breastfeeding help possible.  NO MOTHER is EVER denied services for inability to pay, and services very often can be paid for by making payment arrangements, reducing the fee, or bartering.
